SEO Tactics and Strategy for the Modern SEO

MYMP – Make Your Momma Proud

It is time to introduce my favorite Filipino band, MYMP.

MYMP (Make Your Mamma Proud) is a Pinoy band comprised of Juris Fernandez on vocals and Chin Alcantara on guitar and occational vocals.  They are well known for covering songs from the 80′s and 90′s into acoustic style.

I was introduced to them while I was in the Philippines and was able to aquire some of their CDs which I listened to when I got back.  They now have 5 albums out, the last one entitled “Now” which I haven’t been able to get a hold of yet since it is hard to come by in America.

They play a combination of Tagalog and English songs, but mostly English.  Most of my friends can’t believe they are Filipino since they sound so American.

Lenie and I are huge fans, however unfortunatly I haven’t been able to see them live yet.  When we visit the Philippines again, we will make sure to do that (or hopefully they will tour again in America soon).

Anyways, give a listen:

And:

Let me know what you think!

Piolo My Love

Oohh Piolo! I am crazy for you.  Piolo Pascual is an award-winning and multi-nominated film and television actor, platinum-selling recording artist and songwriter, and concert performer in the Philippines. I love all of his movies and Jeff is really Jealous with him. He wish that he could be as handsome and sexy as Piolo Pascual.

Just see for yourself:

Piolo Pascual

He always ask me who is handsome between him and Piolo and of course I don’t want to lie  so I told him that Piolo is better than him and he got mad at me…

Well, you tell me what you think?

Netflix Review – Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Over the weekend, Lenie and I also got to see Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

I was a little skeptical in this movie, since it was from India, and Lenie and I would definitly need to rely on the subtitles (I have no IDEA what language they were speaking).  However, it was such good movie!  It was one of the best romance movies I have seen.

The story starts as Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) and Anjali (Kajol Devgan) are best friends at college.  Anjali falls for Rahul, but he doesn’t realize it.  Rahul ends up falling in love with Tina (Rani Mukherjee).  Heartbroken, Anjali moves somewhere far away.  Rahul and Tina end up getting married, and due to the complications of childbirth, Tina passes away.  Before she dies, Tina names their daughter Anjali, and writes eight letters to be opened on each of Anjali’s birthdays.  On her eighth birthday, Anjali learns that her mother knew about Anjali’s love for Rahul and sends her daughter on a mission to bring them together.

If you can get a hold of it, it is definitly a good watch.

Netflix Review – Bakit Di Totohanin

Alright folks, well, Lenie and I have a Netflix membership, and because Lenie is somewhat more cultured than I am, we have been renting some unusual movies.  Many of the movies are obviously from the Philippines.  I have decided to start reviewing some of these just in case anyone wants to try any of these titles out.

First up is Bakit Di Totohanin

This movie stars two of the Philippines most popular actors Judy Ann Santos and Lenie’s big time crush Piolo Pascual.  Kate (Judy Ann) plays the masculine daughter of a former boxing champion.  Paul (Piolo) is a former boxing star trained by her father.  The conflict occurs when Kate’s grandmother loses her son’s boxing gym in a bet.  In order to win the gym back, Kate must win in a boxing competition.  Reluctantly, she calls on Paul to help train her.  At first they must reconcile differences, however after some time, love ensues.

This is a Tagalog movie, and for those out there who don’t understand Tagalog, subtitles are most useful.

Lenie and Cold Don’t Mix

Lenie Ashby

So, It is getting somewhat cold here in Utah as of late.  It will be getting much colder in the next few months, but right even now, Lenie is having a tough time.  Here is a picture of her all wrapped up inside our apartment.  I am glad she didn’t come here in the Winter, or she might be convinced to go straight home.  Alas, she is here and we are dealing with the issue with gloves, socks, and jackets…..indoors.

Websites I Visit Most Frequently

For anyone who cared, here is a list of websites I visit most frequently:

Hobowars.com
HoboWars is a Text-based RPG that my brother got me into almost 2 years ago. Anyone can go ahead and join. You play as a hobo, going around and collecting money, racing your shopping cart, and fighting other hobos.

SlickDeals.net
SlickDeals is an amazing site to find deals on electronics and other things. This is where I found my printer, computer, and a few other things I have bought. Check it out everyday to see what deals are out there.

DrudgeReport.com
This is where I get my news.

Half.com
By far the best place to buy books, movies, music, and video games.

Other than that, you can all check out RealEstateBlogThemes.com This is the site I built for my work to distribute really good quality real estate wordpress themes.  Also I am trying an experiment with this Latest News website.

Update

Well, i’m sorry I haven’t written in a while.  A whole bunch has been going on and I keep procrastinating.

Basically Lenie and I moved to Orem – pretty close to the freeway – and now I am back in school.  I will be graduating in April and hope to be starting a job back in Oregon soon after that.

Lenie and I keep plugging away.  I am still going to school full time and working full time, which doesn’t give me a lot of free time to do things I enjoy.  However, Lenie and I are still having a blast with our Netflix membership.  We are able to get all the Filipino movies we want (and American movies too), and we’re having a good time with it.

By the way, if anyone out there is in the need for a entry-level Finance person, please let me know.  I will be posting a resume here sometime soon.

Strep Throat Doesn’t Feel So Good

Well, I was down the last few days with pretty bad physical pain.  It all started on Monday afternoon, while I started feeling pretty crummy at work.  I ended up taking the next two days off from work recovering from strep.  Surprisingly, after starting some delicious antibiotics, the pain was gone pretty quick.  I am very grateful for the advent of this modern medicine.

Lenie did her best to take care of me, and make sure I ate (which I didn’t have much of an appetite anyway) and my parents came in town, which was good.

Anyways, other than that…things are pretty much the same.  We have the Durtschi family reunion next week in which I will see folks I haven’t seen in probably 6 years (and might not see for another 6.)  After a few days with the extended family, my parents along with Heidi’s and Becky’s families will head to Yellowstone.

Anyways…I’ll post something again later.

Sunday Today

Well, I thought it would be a good time to make another post.

Honeymoon

Here is a picture of the happy couple on our honeymoon.  More pictures are to come.

Anyways, Dan and Courtney visited us today, and we had quite a great time.  It will be very fun when we are finally able to move back to Oregon.

New Blog!

Yeah, here is the first blog that I have created.  It is long overdue.  I decided to go with wordpress since I wanted an easy solution, but didn’t look so corny like Blogger does.  Also I kinda like this Corvette theme (I might design something else in the future when I get some time).

Anyways, things are going pretty okay with Lenie and I.  I hope that we soon get lots of subscribers, and you all decide to love this blog.

For those SEO folks out there, I am fully willing to give out that link juice, also if you are a friend of mine, let me know, and I will add your blog to the right side of this page.

Anyway…I better get back to work.  I’ll write more later.
