Lenie and I made it to the Philippines yesterday around 10AM Manila time after a really long flight. We had a pretty good time, although we are really jet lagged. We found Lenie’s family really quickly after the flight, and we went straight to Laguna where she lives. I think she is having a really good time with her family and extended family. Wow, I really need to make some updates. Sorry, i’ve been kind of busy with my full time job, full time classes, and full time wife. Things are going pretty well, and I am looking forward to graduation this coming April 24.

The other day, Lenie and I saw an ad in the local Harmons paper for a sale on Quaker cereals.  5 boxes for $5.  Now how could I pass up on the chance.  We headed out there and got 10 boxes of Peanut Butter Crunch, my favorite cereal.  Well, before the sale ended, we headed back and grabbed another 10 boxes.

Over the past few weeks, I had heard great things about the movie Slumdog Millionaire.  Namely that it had won best picture at the Golden Globe awards and also that Rotten Tomatoes got a 95% positive review.  I thought it would be interesting to see, and so last week Lenie and I drove up to Sandy to see it. (There were no showings down here in Utah County).  I have to say I was amazed at how good it was.

Well, it has been a few days since I posted on here, so I thought I would give a quick update.  The other day (like 2 weeks ago) Lenie and I were getting ready for Halloween by carving a pumpkin.  As you can see from the pictures below, we were really proud about our efforts.  Strangly enough, with all my awesome skills, pumpkin carving is not one of them.  Lenie comes from a long line of wood carvers in the family, and apparently those carving skills transfer over to pumpkins as well.  We tried to make a “scary face” [...] Continue Reading…

Alright, well gas prices have been falling all around the country, which is good news.  At least more most of us.  I have compiled a list of 6 of my own money saving tips to maximize your savings as prices fall.  You might have heard of these before, but if you haven’t…then you’re welcome.

It is time to introduce my favorite Filipino band, MYMP.

MYMP (Make Your Mamma Proud) is a Pinoy band comprised of Juris Fernandez on vocals and Chin Alcantara on guitar and occational vocals.  They are well known for covering songs from the 80′s and 90′s into acoustic style.

Oohh Piolo! I am crazy for you.  Piolo Pascual is an award-winning and multi-nominated film and television actor, platinum-selling recording artist and songwriter, and concert performer in the Philippines. I love all of his movies and Jeff is really Jealous with him. He wish that he could be as handsome and sexy as Piolo Pascual.
