Over the weekend, Lenie and I also got to see Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

I was a little skeptical in this movie, since it was from India, and Lenie and I would definitly need to rely on the subtitles (I have no IDEA what language they were speaking).  However, it was such good movie!  It was one of the best romance movies I have seen.

The story starts as Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) and Anjali (Kajol Devgan) are best friends at college.  Anjali falls for Rahul, but he doesn’t realize it.  Rahul ends up falling in love with Tina (Rani Mukherjee).  Heartbroken, Anjali moves somewhere far away.  Rahul and Tina end up getting married, and due to the complications of childbirth, Tina passes away.  Before she dies, Tina names their daughter Anjali, and writes eight letters to be opened on each of Anjali’s birthdays.  On her eighth birthday, Anjali learns that her mother knew about Anjali’s love for Rahul and sends her daughter on a mission to bring them together.

If you can get a hold of it, it is definitly a good watch.
